The salary for this role is £23,587.20 pro rota per annum which equates to £11.34 per hour.

Norse Catering provide their services to care homes across Norfolk, utilising local and fresh produce, to deliver balanced and nutritious meals to enhance the lives of the residents within the homes.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Chef to join the team at Ellacombe, our residential care home in Norwich, working 30 hours per week.

You will work with the Chef Manager, and the catering team, to ensure delivery of daily service to the highest standard, including the preparation, cooking, and displaying of food and beverages, promoting healthy choices and offering outstanding customer service.

You will be responsible for:

  • Preparing, cooking, and serving of food, ensuring the dietary requirements of the residents are met
  • Supporting with the training of the catering team to maintain excellent customer service
  • Complying with Health and Safety and food hygiene procedures, ensuring these are always adhered to
  • Creating innovative displays and meals to promote healthy food choices

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds an NVQ Level 2 in Hospitality and Catering or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a busy kitchen environment with an organised approach to tasks
  • Excellent understanding of the food industry and customer service standards
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety including the Food Safety Act
