Facilities Assistant

£27,310.40 pro rata

Our Norse Group TFM Division are a lead FM services provider across Norfolk, specialising in a range of Soft and Hard TFM services on behalf of Norfolk County Council.

We currently have a great opportunity for an experienced Facilities Assistant to join our team at Rouen Road on a permanent, part time basis working 30 hours per week.

The Role

As Facilities Assistant you will be responsible for providing an effective caretaking, portering, maintenance, and cleaning service. You will ensure a clean and hazard free environment alongside:

  • Liaising with the Facilities Manager, ensuring all cleaning materials are replenished as required.
  • Testing fire alarms systems and checking buildings, fitting and repairing various locks, both digital and manual.
  • Liaising with the Helpdesk function ensuring all calls are actioned and works orders are completed accurately.
  • Maintaining equipment and materials required to perform cleaning tasks, ensuring a hygienic and safe standard, whilst meeting Health and Safety requirements.

Our Successful Candidate

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Supervisory experience and knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH is desirable
