Mechanical Services Design Engineer

Up to £40,000 per annum

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineer to join NPS Leeds on a permanent basis. As a Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for the design and management of Mechanical services for all construction projects across a variety of building works within the education, leisure, housing and social care sectors.

Your role will be to develop Mechanical Services designs (eg heating/cooling/ventilation/hot water/cold water/gas services etc) on projects as part of an in-house multi-disciplinary consultancy team, including producing budget estimates, drawings (i.e. in AutoCAD and Revit) and detailed service specifications, as well as tender documentation and undertaking full contract administration duties on single discipline Mechanical led projects. You will be required to promote continuous improvement and deliver demonstrable high-quality products and services which embrace quality standards.

Our Successful Candidate will:

  • Have professional membership of the Chartered Institute of Building Service Engineers and be working or prepared to work towards Chartered status.
  • Have previous management/ Supervisory experience.
  • Have a Degree or equivalent in an Mechanical Engineering related discipline.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Have experience of successfully project managing new build and refurbishment projects from inception through to final account. Including surveying existing mechanical services installations
  • Working Knowledge of Standard forms of Building Service’s Contracts.
  • Driving Licence as frequent travel to sites.
