MEP Design Engineer - Infinity
£38,702.14 - £50,334.73

Infinity specialises in providing efficient property compliance and management services to a large number of commercial clients across the Country. We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical and Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Barnsley on a full-time, permanent basis.

As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative mechanical and electrical solutions that will be installed by the in-house mechanical and electrical engineers. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring the functionality, reliability, and efficiency of our systems, while meeting project timelines and specifications. Duties will include:

  • Creating and developing MEP system designs for buildings. This includes heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, electrical power and lighting systems, plumbing and water supply systems, fire protection systems, and other related systems.
  • Conducting thorough analysis and calculations to determine the load requirements, equipment sizing, energy efficiency, and performance characteristics of various building services systems.
  • Creating detailed technical drawings, schematics, and specifications using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Ensuring that all building services designs adhere to relevant local, national, and international codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Collaborating with architects, structural engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to integrate the MEP systems seamlessly within the overall building design
  • Conducting periodic site inspections and reviews to ensure that the installation and performance of the MEP systems align with the design intent.

Our Successful Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in mechanical and electrical design engineering.
  • Experience in creating and develop MEP system designs for buildings.
  • Experience of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the design and installation processes are seamless.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Experience of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the design and installation processes are seamless.
  • Full UK drivers Licence to meet travel requirements for the role.

Due to the nature of the role and contracts associated, completion of a DBS check and Police National Vetting process is essential if successful. Should you fail the vetting process, the offer of employment will be withdrawn.
