Carpenter - Multi-Skilled
£30,500 per annum
We have an excellent career opportunity for a Multi Skilled Carpenter to join our well-equipped team in Buxton on a permanent, full-time basis.
The role:
As a multi-skilled Carpenter, you will carry out a full range of carpentry works within the repairs, planned and voids contracts across Buxton and the surrounding area. This will be predominantly working on the Councils housing stock but may include non-housing, commercial and other properties as required. This includes undertaking a range of 1st and 2nd FIX carpentry works including fitting of internal doors and frames, kitchens, skirting and architraves, repairs to UPVC doors.
You will also be required to undertake other trades duties such as wall tiling, basic plumbing including repairs to pipework, plumbing to kitchen sink and small patch plastering.
Our Successful Candidate:
- City & Guild / NVQ or equivalent in in Carpentry or Joinery
- Good knowledge of joinery, minor plumbing, basic plastering and tiling.
- Extensive joinery experience in a similar environment
- Experience in the installation of kitchens
- Knowledge of good practice relating to Health and Safety Regulations
- Full UK driving licence to meet travel requirements of the role
