Grounds Maintenance Operative
£22,214.40 - 24,815.44 DoE
40 hours per week

West Northamptonshire Norse are currently looking to recruit Grounds Maintenance Operative into our service driven grounds team on a full time, permanent basis working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. 06:30-15:00.

You will be working in a service driven team and be responsible for maintaining and improving the standard of grassed areas, highway verges, municipal parks and open spaces across Daventry. You will also be responsible for:

  • Using and maintaining hand tools and light plant
  • Storing, mixing and applying fertilisers, herbicides, insecticides, fungicides and growth retardants
  • Planting and maintaining trees, shrubs and hedges
  • Cultivation of sites for planting and sowing

Our Successful Candidate;

We are in a position to offer both challenging positions for skilled operative and training and support to those less experienced. You will need to demonstrate;

  • Experience working in a ground maintenance or similar environment
  • Full UK Driving Licence, as there will be a driving requirement to the role
  • Good communication skills, comfortable dealing with members of the public
  • Ability to work effectively both as an individual and as part of a team
  • Willingness to undergo training and development with process and machinery
