Hamson Barron Smith (HBS) is a specialist construction consultancy, providing expertise in architecture, surveying, building services engineering and strategic development across a range of projects. HBS partners with both public and private sector clients, with a focus on education, housing and commercial construction projects.

As we continue to develop our project pipeline, we are recruiting for a Chartered Landscape Architect to join the team, we can be flexible on location but ideally you will be based in London or Norwich, with a Full UK Driving Licence to travel to our sites.

Main Responsibilities will include:

In this position, you will play a crucial role in providing and maintaining design specification, construction and contract management for a variety of projects, alongside:

  • Project management – including budget and resource management
  • Liaising with clients on a regular basis ensuring designs meet their requirements
  • Producing work to a high degree of technical accuracy
  • Remaining compliant to all relevant legislation and Group policies and procedures
  • Designing solutions that demonstrate quality, innovation and commercial viability
  • Playing a central role in client management and satisfaction, maintaining and growing

existing relationships, while identifying future opportunities

  • Advising clients and project teams on relevant landscape matters for planning, landscape

management, and biodiversity

  • Contributing to fee agreements by setting out the scope of service to be delivered on each

project

  • Managing high standard production of drawings and details complying with company policies, standard, and quality assurance processes

Our Successful Candidate:

  • Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute
  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • Experienced in leading all stages of designing and delivering multiple projects on-site
  • Ideally the experience of working within a Building Information Modelling (BIM)

environment, and Revit/ AutoCAD user plus knowledge of FormIt would be an additional benefit

  • Technical knowledge, quality presentation skills, and having excellent report writing abilities

with the use of the Adobe Creative Suite, NBS Chorus, Publisher, and good hand sketching
