Norse Group work in partnership with a number of care homes across Norfolk and Suffolk, providing a catering service throughout the day to residents. Our service is built around delivering healthy and quality meals, utilising fresh and local produce.
At Sydney House in Stalham, we are recruiting for an Assistant Cook to join our dedicated onsite catering team working 26.5 hours per week on a permanent basis.
As an Assistant Cook, you will be responsible for maintaining the efficiency of the kitchen in terms of food preparation and ensuring high levels of customer service are always met. You will also be responsible for:
- Maintaining the highest levels of hygiene and cleanliness are observed throughout the kitchen and service areas.
- Assisting in preparation, cooking and serving of food under the Chef and Chef Managers direction.
- Preparing the dining areas for service and tidying away once service is finished.
We are looking for experienced catering professionals to apply and join the team. However, if you are looking for a step up from a catering assistant or similar and you have a commercial background, we would also like you to apply.
