Hamson Barron Smith (HBS) is a specialist construction consultancy, providing expertise in architecture, surveying, building services engineering and strategic development across a range of projects. HBS partners with both public and private sector clients, with a focus on education, housing and commercial construction projects.

As we continue to develop our project pipeline, we are recruiting for a Chartered Landscape Architect to join the team, we can be flexible on location but ideally you will be based in London / South East / Essex, with a Full UK Driving Licence to travel to our sites.

Main Responsibilities will include:

In this position, you will play a crucial role in providing and maintaining design specification, construction and contract management for a variety of projects, alongside:

  • Project management – including budget and resource management
  • Liaising with clients on a regular basis ensuring designs meet their requirements
  • Producing work to a high degree of technical accuracy
  • Remaining complaint to all relevant legislation and Group policies and procedures
  • Designing solutions that demonstrate quality, innovation and commercial viability

Our Successful Candidate:

  • Professional Chartered Membership of the Institute of Landscape Architects
  • Extensive commercial experience in a similar working environment
  • Proficient in the use of relevant software, including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related Landscape Architecture discipline, or significant commercial experience
  • Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation
