NPS Property Consultants works in partnership with Norfolk County Council, supplying expertise across multiple consultancy services. The business supports a growing number of public and private sector clients across East Anglia, undertaking a diverse range of works.

Our Structural Engineering team currently have an opportunity for an Experienced Structural Engineer to join the Norwich team based at the International Aviation Academy. Whilst you will ideally be joining us as a Chartered Engineer, we are also keen to support and develop talented Engineers working towards Chartered status.

Our structural engineering team are responsible for providing relevant expertise across a range of new build, renovation and refurbishment projects, and you will be tasked with:

  • Preparing designs, calculations and specifications across our business portfolio
  • Carry out design and management of all types of structural service projects including producing budgets estimates, drawings, detailed service specifications, tender documentation and undertaking full contract administration duties on structural led projects.
  • Providing expert advice to colleagues and clients on structural engineering issues
  • Preparing schedules for dilapidations, improvement schemes and structural surveys
  • Liaising with clients, contractors and colleagues to ensure work is delivered to schedule

Professional Chartered Membership of the Institute of Structural Engineers would be beneficial, but we can match your desire to achieve this status with expert mentoring.

We are looking for you to be able to demonstrate a combination of experience and qualifications for the role relevant to the level you join us, including:

  • A recognised engineering qualification – BEng / MEng / MSc
  • Relevant sector experience would be highly beneficial, delivering designs across Education, Leisure and Housing
  • Proficient in the use of relevant design software for the role
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, confident with client engagement at a senior level
