The salary for this role is £23,587.20 pro rata per annum which equates to £11.34 per hour. 

Norse Catering work in partnership with a growing number of care homes, schools and businesses across the Norfolk and Suffolk region to deliver meal services throughout the day. Utilising local and fresh produce, Norse deliver an exceptional customer service whilst ensuring delicious, varied and nutritious meals for our clients.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Chef to join our team at Harker House in Long Stratton. This is on a permanent basis for 30 hours per week across a two-week rota.

As Chef you will work closely with the Chef Manager, using your expertise to develop nutritious and balanced menus that meet the resident’s dietary requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to be creative with your food to ensure mealtimes are healthy and exciting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Preparation, cooking, and presentation of food to the highest standard
  • Deputising for the Chef Manager by supporting the wider Catering team
  • Contribute to high levels of customer service
  • Comply and have full knowledge of regulations regarding Health & Safety, ensuring that best food practices and hygiene procedures are adhered to

Our Successful Candidate:

  • Previous catering experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of basic health & safety, including the food safety act.
  • High Standard of culinary skills
  • Knowledgeable about the food industry

All salaries for part-time positions are worked out pro-rata of the full-time equivalent salary shown in the advert, calculated on your contracted hours per week.
